  2. MyAvatars 0.2

ya thats the real story. But still those guys had balls to try and fight off the german attack and the gas at the same time.

  3. MyAvatars 0.2

    That sounds more realistic.

  4. MyAvatars 0.2

Actual its all true. They did **** in there hankies and use them as ruddementry gas masks. While although they lost the battle they managed to keep the germans occupied so reserves cpuld set up defence and to keep germany from breaking through the allied lines completely. The actual canadian victory at ypres though was the counter attack that halted germanys advance through the french lines

If you think that vimy was not important in ww1 its your choice. I think canada does alot in ww1, this is where we become a nation. But i am sure that every country told the story of war like they want. I would love to read some german historic book about ww1 to see how different they can be compared to are book. And for the movie its just a movie and like every war movie the story is exaggerate.

Ok, so go on believing that Canada took a very important role in WW1. I believe that it´s a **** and bull story. They pissed in their hankies and kept on fighting. What a nonsense!
And u´re sure that every Canadian soldier was able to **** exactly in the moment the Germans used gas? Hey, Jacques! I can´t **** at the moment…can you lend me some of your excrements??
I´m sure the Canadians fought well, serious. But please don´t overrate that heroic story.

When the German first used the Sulfur Mustard Gaz on the French and Canadian at the battle of Ypres 22 avril 1915. When the French run away and the canadian stay there and fight whitout having a gaz mask. That day when the Canadian core win the battle, i am sure the German was truly affraid of the canadian core, and when we have took the Vimy ridge in 3 Days when the french and british havent be able to take it in 2 years… I am sure the German was affraid too.
    Vive le Canada!

Well, as a German who is quite interested in history I can tell u all that it was the massive quantity of men and suply which kept the Germans in their lines and in the end gave that unimportant village to the Entente forces. Doesn´t play a role if they were Brits, French, Australian, Canadian or whatever. Believe me that the Germans weren´t less or more afraid of the Canadians than of anybody else. Most Germans wouldn´t even know that Canada took part in WW1. Happy new Year

A bit of history…the Battle of Passchendaele (or Third Ypres) ended when the Canadian Corps took Passchendaele on 6 November 1917. British, French, South African, and ANZAC troops also took part in the battle. Paul Gross’s father was a Canadian army officer.

  12. MyAvatars 0.2

Completely untrue, the australian and canadian corps became the door-knockers of the entente armies by 1917.

They were mostly young, agressive volunteers. Read british books…

  13. MyAvatars 0.2

yea, i was tryen to make it obvious that i was messing around. hell, both wars they fought like bastards, even d-day

  14. MyAvatars 0.2

I’m British by the way. I have absolutely no relationship to Canada except owing a debt of gratitude (as well as to the other nations - Australia, India, New Zealand, South Africa, the US, Poland, Russia and countless others) for the sacrifices made in the name of freedom.

  15. MyAvatars 0.2

Either you are fishing or are just ignorant.

The Canadian soldiers played a massive and crucial part in WW1. The Germans were absolutely terrified of the Canadian troops. They played key roles at The Somme and Paeschendaele.

  16. MyAvatars 0.2

BULLSHIT! during WW1, Canadas only role in the war was in England, all they did was feed the troops as they came off the boats!!

  17. MyAvatars 0.2

Yay! Go Canada I went and saw the movie the second day it came out. Too much love story not enough battle. And it should have ben world war two it would have been better.

  18. MyAvatars 0.2

“The British couldn’t do it, the French couldn’t do it. It was just us, The Canadian corp.”

    EPIC.

  19. MyAvatars 0.2

I saw it, it was pretty good. Not enough battle scenes though. :(

  20. MyAvatars 0.2

There were no good guys or bad guys in that war. The were no holocausts. But winners write history.

  21. MyAvatars 0.2

    effin proud to be Canadian

  22. MyAvatars 0.2

    i **** ugly *** german muther fuckers

  23. MyAvatars 0.2

Wow, unbelievable. Maybe you should trying reading a little history before spouting your made for TV rhetoric. Like it not, they were on the move and needed to be stopped. Luckily, uninformed wimps like you were not there, or we’d all be speaking German. The British and Canadians saved thousands, if not millions of lives with their bravery and forward thinking war strategy. A strong country doesn’t always mean the biggest guns and largest armies.

  24. MyAvatars 0.2

I love the trailer voice (big ddep voice) A TIME OF LURVE A TIME OF WAR : )

  25. MyAvatars 0.2

hmm this seems to be the place where the brit generals sent 2000 kiwis into a shooting range of machine gun.
